"Finecast"

I have just spent nearly 2 hours to prep the njal storm caller mini. this is my first encounter with a finecast  model and i must say I'm not impressed. I tried to find the best one whilst i was in the store but its hard to tell when you cant take the mini out of the pack. There were loads of air bubbles in the casting and i must have filled about 25 holes at least plus re sculpt some of the wolf hair on the back not to mention the state of the staff. My conclusion...... These miniatures are not for the faint hearted.

Anyway grumble over, next need to build a base for it and undercoat it. so more soon folks.

I bought 3 finecast minis just after they came out and not a flaw in any of them. I don't like the material but you can get good ones.

I've not had good experiences with Finecast as yet. poor surface finish, detail missing, holes, much fiddling with green stuff.
