Golden demon entry 2016

Hey guys sorry for the lack of posts of late, motivation has been at absolute zero for the last few months but things are getting back on track, must show you my entry for golden demon earlier in the year. Ultramarines leviathan dreadnought. this took me almost forever to get finished i lost track of how many hours i spent on it. there was also a banner that never got done so i wasnt totally happy in the end.
I got a finalist pin for it and for my other entries so 3 pins on the day not bad. more stuff soon, im thinking of painting some other model ranges and some busts next as i seamed to have burned out on gw at the mo. hope you like the pics.
peace

Really lovely work as always mate! Love this kit and would love to paint one too! Know exactly what you mean about the motivation too! Haven't put paint to a figure in around a year now! Hope you find some working on some different ranges though. Been looking to try my hand at a few busts too.

Cheers,

CMDante

Thanks bud. its always the same for me after golden demon, i spend so much time on one mini probably 2-3 months as i hardly get to paint anyway, only a few hours a week because work etc, that i kind of burn out for a while. im used to it now, just dont force it as it becomes a chore and no fun. thats the whole point isnt it fun!!! hobby!! just do other things, i draw a bit but im not good. but its still creative i guess.
ive just find that the current gw minis are not inspiring me to paint, i find that im drawn to painting busts at the moment, ive got my eye on a few.
it just takes time mate, it will come back.
glad you like the dread.

cheers,
pete
